Calvena Jordan is a self-published author. She’s a young African American woman born in Virginia. She’s a college graduate from Virginia Union University with a degree in Criminal Justice. Her passion has always been to help empower women of color, especially young girls, to love and believe in themselves.
Love Yo self is a multi-purpose middle grade picture book for girls. The short story was written to inspire young girls to appreciate their uniqueness and to love themselves wholeheartedly. The journal pages are in place for girls to have a healthy outlet to express their daily emotions.
