Dr. Lolita Kincade is an Assistant Professor of Human Development and Family Studies and Director of a Certified Family Life Education Program. I CAN BREATHE was inspired by her research and collaboration with Black boys and their families in San Bernardino, California. Her efforts focused on exploring the academic experiences and improving the trajectories of students in the area. Dr. Kincade enjoys teaching, mentoring youth and young adults, and values faith and family. She resides in central Alabama with her husband and daughter.
