Bio:

Simone is a writer, author and freelance magazine writer and have written for many North American publications including Africulture magazine, Planet Africa, Mudd magazine, Woman’s Essence Magazine and The Caribbean Current to name a few. Simone was the Editor-in-Chief of It’s Your Destiny eMagazine.

Simone is also a publisher and has published two day planners ‘Remember to Pray’ and 2013 Day Planner. She has published three children’s book titled A Silly Rhyming Alphabet Book about Animals from A to Z, Colouring and Activity book based on A Silly Rhyming Alphabet Book about Animals from A to Z and Emily-Roses Day at the Farm. Her fourth children’s book, “I am Beautiful: When I Look at Me, I See…” quickly became a best-seller. Based on the exceptional reception “I am Beautiful: When I Look at Me, I See…” received “I am Beautiful” emojis were birthed and was launched on October 18, 2016 on the Apple App Store.

Simone has been featured in The Belief magazine an online magazine created to promote positive people. Simone is the 2018 recipient of the International Women Achievement Award (IWAA) for media. She was awarded with the 2016 Woman on Fire award in the media category for her excellence in writing. She was chosen as one of the 100 Black women to watch in Canada in 2016. She was a featured author and judge at St. Jude’s Academy poetry/speech contest. She is a member of Sankofa’s Pen (African-Canadian Writers for Children and Young Adults). Simone likes to read in her spare time.

Simone hosts a blog called Simone’s Blog: Depicting the Writer in You (DTWIY)—The DTWIY blog is dedicated to helping published authors and/or self-published authors gain exposure for their books by utilizing this site as a marketing tool to promote, advertise and generate sales for their literary art.
