As a father of three young girls, I am faced with the challenge of promoting self-love, natural beauty, and cultural literacy. I always saw my three daughters as beautiful, perfect, and powerful. Yet, I found this is not something they were born knowing. This had to be taught and shown. Having seen this lack of value for one’s culture, self, and natural beauty, I sought out to create something to highlight their most unique features. I always saw the feeling of nostalgia my kids had every time they watched a superhero movie. The only problem was, they didn’t see themselves in them and neither did I. I wanted to create a world for them to thrive and a personal connection to. I wanted this to create excitement and a sense of value and pride. Not just in who they were but who they came From. My hope and prayer are that you and yours will be equally inspired.
