Karen Mabhena is the author of Nandi and Nzuri books which are dedicated to empowering children of African descent. As a mother of 2 she recognises the value in helping children of African descent take pride in their identity and heritage. Born and raised in Zimbabwe and currently living in the U.K she has dedicated her life to working with children in different settings including communities, schools and homes. She is currently studying Applied Humanities at Newman University and specialising in child education. Karen’s books are filled with themes of African pride and fun illustrations that children will enjoy reading whilst benefiting by learning about Africa.
