Kyanne Stennett is an author, illustrator and owner of Big Queen Little Queen Publishing & Media Group, named to honour the relationship between my mother and me. BQLQ publishing is an independent Canadian children’s book publisher based in Toronto, Canada. My mission is to fill the gap in children’s literature on themes of DIVERSITY, DISABILITY AND INCLUSION. I use my books to promote self-love, effective communication and to normalize the representation of children of colour and children with disabilities. I want to inspire others to transcend the negative obstacles in their life so that they can connect with themselves, connect with others and uniquely shine.
